Music Addon SoundCloud

Hi I'm running windows 7, kodi 16.1 and Addon SoundCloud stopped working. I get(SoundCloud Error Check Log For More Information).

I posted a debug log to Pastebin.com/WrqSBCUK. Any help would be appreciated.

Soundcloud addon crashing

Whenever I attempt to play anything I get the error: "kodi script failed! : soundcloud"

I've tried rolling back the updates, uninstalling etc. Mysteriously it was working fine until about two weeks ago, without me making any change.

Qobuz add-on cannot send music to N50A UPnP renderer

My configuration is:
- QNAP TS-251+ with KODI 16.0 running in HD station.
My QNAP is connected to my freebox (RJ45)
- Network Audio Player Pioneer N50A which is also connected to my Freebox (RJ45)

I installed the add-on Qobuz for KODI.

I connect to Qobuz and reads all what I want without any problem when I use the default audio stream (home cinema speakers)

But when I want to redirect the audio stream to my N50A (by right clicking + and select option "Read with" + select "N50A") , there is no sound.
There is sometimes an error (Error reading) and a bip and nothing happens.
Moreover, when I use KODI to read my local music stored in my QNAP disks, there are no problem to redirect the stream to the N50A.

So my understanding is that there is a problem for the Qobuz plugin to send data to the UPnP renderer of the N50A.
Here is an extract of the kodi.log when it fails:

Need help to get music add-ons

I don't get it...with my 1800E on Kodi 16.1, I just had to click "get more" to find a bunch of different music add-ons I could put on my Kodi; but I just bought a 4K Android box to go with my 4K SUHD TV, and I updated it to Kodi 17.1. Now when I go the Music Addons, it is blank and if I go to get more, there aren't any. Where/how do I get my addons!?? The main one I used to listen to is Digitally Imported, but I don't know how to get it back! Any help is much appreciated!

"Categories" add-on does not function properly

I am using Kodi 17.1.
I recently enabled the add-on : "Categories" and was set up correctly.
No problem in using it with my video-add-ons.
I have a problem with the Music add-ons.
From my-add-ons, I click on Music-add-ons.
Everything shows OK. i open the Categories & click on "Audio Categories" and strangely the screen that comes up it has :

Files
Playlists
Video add-ons

My belief is that instead of "Video add-ons" there should had been "Music add-ons".
Very strange and consequentely I cannot " categorize " my music add-ons.

Am I doing something that stupid ?

Your help will be appreciated

Pandora and Kodi 17.2

Is there any working Pandora with Kodi 17.1

I tried the 2 by spbogie.

1 installs but doesn't show up in files anywhere.

The other installs but when launched it just gives an error.

Problem with iPlayer WWW and osmc 2017.4.1

Hi, I am a newcomer to OSMC. I would like to stream BBC radio stations. I live in the UK.

I installed OSMC 2017.4.1 on a Raspberry Pi 3.
I added the iPlayer WWW add-on.
I eventually found and enabled the InputStream.adaptive (why doesn't the add-on installer configure this dependency?)
When I use the OSMC UI on the console and select Music | Music add-ons | iPlayer | Listen Live | Radio 2 i get a couple of "Cookie load failed" messages followed by "One or more items failed to play Check the log.."

*However*, if I use the Chorus web interface via a browser and select Browser | Music | iPlayer WWW | Listen Live | Radio 2 it plays just fine!

Squeezebox for Kodi

Transform Kodi in a Squeezebox player with this addon.
It started as something for my own personal use but I figured with a few additional touches it can be usefull to others too.

Altough Logitech stopped producing the Squeezeboxes several years ago, the platform is still very popular and in active development by the opensource community. Sure, systems like Sonos and Heos might be superior in ease of use but they're also (in my opinion) very expensive. I wanted to have a way to have multi-room music with an ocassional need of syncing audio between players using my existing components such as Kodi Intel NUC's and raspberry pi's, including support of my Hi-Def audio tracks on disk and my Spotify playlists.

The Squeezebox setup with the Logitech Media Server is perfectly capable of doing all that, including support for a wide range of other devices in the mix such as Airplay devices. You can have a combination of original squeezeboxes, pc's with Squeezelite (software player for Squeezebox), Airplay devices and even Chromecast devices and let them all play your favorite tunes. There are even some nice projects available to turn a Raspberry Pi into a squeezebox like PiCoreAudio and Max2Play.

For all additional rooms such as kitchen, outside and my office, I use headless Pi's with PiCoreAudio connected to some actve speakers.
Offcourse in for example the living room I have Kodi running as my all-in-one media solution and I didn't want to add another box in there just to play audio.
That's where Squeezelite comes in play, a nice piece of software that you can install on about any platform to make it play the sounds from the Squeezebox server (Logitech Media Server).

Squeezelite on it's own does it's job very great and you can install it side to side with Kodi on your setup but I was missing the interaction with kodi. Especially the "Now Playing" screen so I can watch some artwork and artist info while track are playing. That's when I decided to create something to fill that gap so I could have the benefits of the centralized audio control of LMS combined with the great Kodi software.

I realize there's already an addon for Kodi, named Xsqueeze but it's rather outdated and it's based on custom dialogs which is something I didn't want (personal taste, the Xsqueeze addon is other than that great software offcourse).

So, how does this work ? At first I tried to feed Kodi with the audiostream directly from the Squeezeserver by using the Squeezelite source but I finally gave up on that as I couldn't get it stable enough, especially when sync comes in play. Offcourse doable maybe somewhere in the future but it will require a fair amount of work and tight integration into the Kodi source code.

To have something ready sooner I had the idea to just "trick" Kodi that it's playing something and instead use the default, well known and well working Squeezelite software to handle the playback directly to the sound device.

And that is exactly what this add-on does, it feeds Kodi with a 100% silent PCM audio stream so that the "Now Playing" screen will show up whenever Squeezelite is pumping audio to the speakers. It's basically just one big workaround but it works pretty great. As soon as you start Kodi, this addon will auto start Squeezelite in the background and it will poll the server for changes every second. Everything is supported like playlist handling, skipping tracks, pause, stop, syncing etc.

Features

- Auto start Squeezelite in the background (can be disabled in the addon settings if you start squeezelite yourself, for example on Max2Play devices).
- Registers as a sqeezeplayer in the LMS server with the MAC address that is reported by Kodi.
- Auto detects the LMS server in the network and connects to the first instance it finds.
- Auto detects the default (ALSA) sound device and use that for audio playback.
- Plugin entry (audio addon) to browse your media on the LMS server, including apps like Spotify etc.
- Because the plugin entry you can use native Kodi library windows to navigate your media, including creation of widgets etc.
- Supports Windows, MacOS, Linux x86/x64, Libreelec (possibly also Raspbmc but I didn't test it)
- Supports Android if you install a Squeezebox player app (like SB Player)
- Supports iOS if you install a Squeezebox player app (like iPeng)
- Primary acts as both a player and a controller but can also be set to acts as controlled for another player. In that case set the addon settings to not start squeezelite and configure the Mac address manually. This is also used on Android where SB Player (or other) is actually playing the audio.


Instructions / Notes

- Install this add-on from my Kodi addon repository, that way all dependencies will be installed and you will get updates instantly. Please do not install directly from Github if you want to ask support on the forums.
- Libreelec users: Make sure you have the mediatools addon installed as that includes Squeezelite !
- You need to have a LMS Server on your network, for example installed on your NAS.
- This addon only utilizes the more recent Json API of LMS-Server, the older telnet API is not used, so you need a recent version of the LMS server. I've tested it with LMS server version 7.9 myself.
- Make sure the LMS server doesn't require authentication for internal connections. I did not yet implement support for authentication.
- I have tested the addon on Windows, MacOS and libreelec running on a Pi. Remember, this considered beta software. Altough I spent a fair amount of optimizing it and it works in my scenario, bugs can happen. In that case, or if you have a request to improve it, feel free to let me know on the forums. In case of asking for support when an issue arrises, please include as much info as possible about your setup including the error message in the Kodi log or the entire Kodi logfile itself. Also, Pull requests on Github to optimize the addon are always welcome, feel free to contribute!

TODO/On my wishlist
- Integrate with my Spotify addon so you can use the Spotify app to interact with the LMS-server
- Add "Play with LMS" contextmenu options to play any media in Kodi through the LMS-server (e.g. for synced audio in multiple rooms)

Visualization not working after update.

After the recent security update visualization has stopped working, and I have done every thing I can think of to trouble shoot it. I have reinstalled direct x and Kodi twice. I am running on Windows 8 using direct x 11.
This is the error from the log

have tunein account but no favourites visible

I am using the tunein addon for kodi

Want to use the favourites that i have on the tunein account on my PC
(so i make sure that i am logged in to my tunein account on the PC)

But when i go to favourites in the kodi account i get the message: tunein account required to perform this action

Is there a way to log in to your account in the tunein addon ?

Any help is very much appreciated

Saving to the MusicPlayer.xxxxxxx property

Hi
While playing with the streaming radio I have two sources.
The first source is a stream of music (unfortunately without information on the song played).
The second source only provides information about the current song (what is played in the first source)
I have a script that "plays the song" from the first source and the second script that retrieves information from the second source of the song played.
I would like to save the song information in the script directly to the MusicPlayer property such as:
MusicPlayer.Title, MusicPlayer.Album, MusicPlayer.Artist, MusicPlayer.Genre .... etc.

How can I save variables in a script to the MusicPlayer.xxxxxxx properties?

I am currently saving this data to my own properties such as Window (Home) .Property (rmfon.Player.Artist) .........
But additionally I have to modify the skin to be used by the skin - I would like to avoid this.

I cannot get any addons to load onto fire stick, I reset kodi through Amazon settings and have reloaded 17.3 but no matter which addon I try to install/load it says it cannot be found, is there a fresh start somewhere in the kodi file that may help me to start a fresh?

Do I need something to use this addon?

You'll need an account at one of the above shown networks. Without an account you can only listen for 30 minutes to any radio stream and at the moment an account is mandatory for this addon. I'll think of changing that to give new users the opportunity to listen at least for 30 minutes to whatever stream and than decide if they would like to have an account.

I have a premium membership, do you support premium?

Yes, premium is fully supported. You can activate premium in the Account settings and choose your desired quality in the Stream settings.

Why is the addon logo looking so crappy?

I'm not in any way a graphical artist, I'm just bad in doing graphics Rofl
I'll try to create a new logo until the v1.0.0 release but if that won't work, I will ask here again if someone can create a nice logo for the addon.

From where can I get the addon?

The goal is to push it to the official Kodi repository after some time.

Need help with installing spotify and IPTV

I am trying to install spotify but all the tutorials contain a step I cannot perform:

Open Kodi
Select SYSTEM
Select Add-Ons
Select Install from zip file <-- I can't do this

I am using a Raspberry Pi3 with latest Raspbian and I sudo apt-get installed kodi.

I am also trying to install a simple IPTV client which supposedly should be avaible from the repository... it cannot be found, it is simply not there and I don't know why.

Can somebody help me out?

Remote Share error

Hi I have just reinstalled Kodi 15.2, and was trying to add source in settings menu\file manager and keep getting this error. Remote share, couldn't connect to network server, but have network connected, I assume it's something in the setup, but unsure what. Can someone please help out.
